So at least once every year some jokester ends up putting a few jugs of Sunlight into the water feature at the 8th & 8th park downtown Calgary. The results are halarious!

People keep asking me why I hate where I live.. Granted I make it pretty obvious seeing as I go around saying I hate where I live all the time. Today though, I thought I would actually explain why I hate this place so much…

It’s this damn tree to the left here.. You see that tree? That tree is the very reason I hate Calgary.. Well, ok not THAT tree specifically, but you see that little yellow blotch towards the middle of the tree? Yeah.. THAT’S the reason I hate this place.. You know what that is? They are yellow leaves.. It’s not even the end of August and there are YELLOW LEAVES in the trees!! That means Fall is here, and fall lasts only a month and a bit, and BAM, Next you know its -30c and snowing.. and I fucking HATE WINTER.. I hate everything about it so much that if winter were a cat, I would call it over, pet it on the head for a moment to get it to trust me, then Throw it in a damn garbage to die, that’s what I would do!.

In winter there’s nothing but misery.. You get up in the morning and can’t see outside because your windows are frosted over. You try to dress warm for the walk to work but there’s not much point cuz you just know somehow, a fucking breeze is going to be up your pant leg the whole way.. If you’re really lucky you won’t slip on the ice, but chances are that some asshat will eventually spray you with dirty slush from the road as they drive by at some point. Your eyes tend to water in the wind then end up freezing shut, but really, that’s ok because there’s nothing to look at since its all barren and dead anyhow. Finally you get to work, and JUST as you start to thaw out, you get to repeat the whole process on the way home again!

Maybe I wouldn’t mind so much if we actually had a summer this year to enjoy.. Unfortunately, every weekend except 3, it has rained, been unbelievably windy, hailed, or you had to walk around with a scarf around your face trying not to inhale the haze from the BC fires… 3 damn weekends of nice weather out of 52.. That’s all we got…

And that, my 1 or 2 readers, is why I hate this place so much!

Was a pretty good time, just wish Canada's Airshows were a lot more like the ones over-seas or in the US where they actually show off thier stuff, not just have a few "headliner" planes and the rest is private stunt planes sitting on the runway..

Hell, who am I kidding, you could release a movie with Emily standing in a blank room for 2 hours, and id go see it, as far as I’m concerned the rest is just a bonus
